Hilligraphy Ink’s private calligraphy parties are perfect for corporate team building, birthday parties, church groups, bridal showers, sorority events, or just a girls night in! These parties are beginner friendly; no prior lettering experience is needed.

Fill out the inquiry form below. Hillary will be in touch to confirm details and reserve your date. Gather your favorite group of people and Hillary will come to you and teach modern calligraphy.

 

What’s Included?

Each party includes approximately 2 hours of personal, hands-on instruction with Hilligraphy Ink. We’ll start with an overview of calligraphy, go over how to properly hold calligraphy pens and use guidelines, practice the basics strokes of calligraphy, use those strokes to create the lowercase alphabet, and connect letters into words.

All guests will receive a calligraphy starter pack specially curated by Hilligraphy Ink. Supplies included will vary based on which type of calligraphy your group chooses to learn.

 

Which Calligraphy Types Can I Choose From?

Brush Calligraphy

Brush Calligraphy is done using a marker with a flexible tip. It creates an expressive, casual style.

The brush calligraphy starter kit will include:

  • A guided workbook

  • 2 brush pens

  • Tracing paper

  • Personalized name card

Pointed Pen Calligraphy

Pointed Pen Calligraphy utilizes a nib dipped in ink. This creates a more formal style with fine hairline strokes.

The pointed pen calligraphy starter kit will include:

  • A guided workbook

  • 2 nibs & straight pen holder

  • Ink/ ink well

  • Vellum

  • Personalized name card

Pricing & Minimums

Private parties are $65 per person and require a minimum of 4 paid guests.

Group rates are available for parties over 15 participants.
